NOAA InternshipsThe National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) conducts research and gathers data about the global oceans, atmosphere, space and sun, and applies this knowledge to science and service that touch the lives of all Americans. Associates have worked either at NOAA or for organizations that help to carry out NOAA's mission doing GIS and mapping, cartographic technology, marine sanctuaries, hydrographic surveying, remote sensing, coastal management, planning and policy, oceanography, web development, marine charting, navigation services, communications, research, capacity building and more. The Coastal Management Fellowship ProgramThis program is open to recently-graduated candidates with a master's degree from Sea Grant Institutions with a focus on coastal issues. Coastal Management Fellows hold master's degrees in such areas as coastal and marine resource management, coastal geology, environmental management, and natural resources and the environment. Please contact your local sea grant office in November of 2007 for more details. Coral Reef Management FellowshipsFor those with backgrounds in coral studies, marine, science, resource management planning, coastal management, marine monitoring, conservation planning, or outreach and education.
