ERT Announces New CIO

ERT today announced the appointment of Hugh Johnson as Chief Information Officer. Mr. Johnson, who brings 35 years of information technology experience, is responsible for promoting best practices in IT and data management across ERT programs, as well as ensuring the performance of ERT’s IT management practice.
 

Johnson most recently served as the Assistant CIO of NOAA’s National Ocean Service, where he implemented enterprise-level IT solutions in networking, cyber security, and cloud services that drove cost savings and increased productivity; reinforced cyber security posture by implementing performance metrics program and operational security processes; and established a strategic sourcing program to gain organization-wide economies of scale. He previously held IT management and technical positions at the National Marine Fisheries Service, Defense Logistics Agency, and Department of Defense Dependence Schools, as well as within private industry.
 

Mr. Johnson holds a Masters of Science degree in Computer Systems Management from the University of Maryland University College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University.
