Randy TeBeest joined ERT in December 2017 as Vice President, Environmental Services. In this role, he manages a business unit whose contracts primarily support NASA, NOAA, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Prior to joining ERT, Randy spent 23 years as a NOAA Corps aviation officer, during which he flew multiple aircraft including the P-3 Hurricane Hunter and USN NP-3s for the Naval Research Laboratory; accumulating over 4,000 flight hours and 155 hurricane eyewall penetrations. His missions supported five different NOAA offices, as well as NASA and NRL, and he served in multiple command capacities including Chief, Environmental Subsurface Monitoring Unit at the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Unified Command. Randy’s last duty assignment was as Commanding Officer, NOAA Aircraft Operations Center at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
After retiring from active duty, Randy served as Assistant County Administrator for Public Safety in Pasco County, FL, where he directed operations for multiple lines of business and managed 600 firefighters, paramedics, and first responders. Most recently, Randy worked for the Maryland Department of Commerce as Aerospace Program Manager, where he focused on business and industry development in the aerospace sector.
Randy earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The College of New Jersey and a Juris Doctor from Taft Law School. He holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilot License and Certified Multiengine Flight Instructor Certificate. He also served as an Examiner on Florida’s Sterling Council Performance Management Excellence Program. He’s particularly proud of his volunteer work as a Guardian ad Litem in Florida’s 13th Judicial Circuit, which involved advocating for children in the state’s dependency care system.
