Lisa Scaffardi, ERT’s Senior Manager, Business Development and Marketing, was recently elected to serve on the Maryland Space Business Roundtable (MSBR) Board of Directors for 2018 to 2020. MSBR is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the aerospace and technology sector throughout Maryland and the greater national capital region. The organization is governed by a 20-member board elected for two-year terms on a staggered-year basis and one of its key goals is to inspire the future aerospace workforce by promoting and funding STEM programs. ERT is a longstanding corporate member of MSBR, with several current and former employees who served as board members.
“I am honored to serve the Maryland aerospace community alongside my fellow board members,” Scaffardi noted, “and to help broaden ERT’s involvement in the many life-changing STEM opportunities that MSBR affords to children throughout the state.”
Ms. Scaffardi was also recently elected as an officer of the Goddard Advocacy Partnership (GAP), in the role of Secretary and Communications Lead. GAP is comprised of supporters, stakeholders, and business partners of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center who have joined together to encourage government support for the Center at the local, state, and national levels. In addition, Scaffardi is actively involved with the Goddard Contractors Association and Goddard Small Business Council, serving as ERT’s primary representative to both organizations and ensuring the company’s continued engagement in the contractor community.
Outside of her NASA-focused responsibilities for ERT’s corporate office, Ms. Scaffardi provides communications and outreach support to NOAA’s Air Resources Laboratory.
