ERT Wins Contract to LDCM Science Team

September 11, 2006 - ERT won a one year (with 4 option years) contract as a member of the Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) science team under the U.S. Geological Survey. The Landsat Science Team will conduct research on issues critical to the success of the LDCM, including data acquisition, product access and format, practical applications, and science opportunities for new- and past-generation Landsat data. The team will provide research and science support to the USGS on topics that will affect the overall success of the LDCM mission. Dr. Feng Gao (principal investigator from ERT), as one of the eight funded LDCM science team members, will work on the project "Developing a Consistent Landsat Data Set from MSS, TM/ETM+, and International Data Sources for Land Cover Change Detection".
