ERT Wins NOAA NODC Contract in Support of Scientific Data Stewardship
May 15, 2009 – ERT has been awarded a 1-year $98k contract with 4 option years by NOAA NESDIS’s National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) to provide scientific data stewardship for in-situ oceanographic data and information. ERT will ensure data are archived, provide the archived data in effective, user-friendly ways; establish the necessary tracking tools for the detection of changes in the observing system and the recorded data and metadata; ensure the data and products are applicable to end-user applications; and translate data from antiquated unusable file formats.
