ERT wins NASA Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) Risk Reduction Prototype contract

July 9, 2004 - ERT was selected to provide science support services to NASA Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) risk reduction prototype project. ERT will be generating Algorithm Description Documents (ADD), summarizing the theoretical basis and defining the required algorithms for the generation of a "seasonal" Landsat Surface Reflectance Composite (SRC). The "seasonal" Landsat SRC shall be prototyped, validated, and modified as necessary, and then adapted for use in other sources of moderate-resolution imagery. ERT will use surface reflectance composites to develop a biophysical suite of standard products and will collaborate with researchers in GSFC Code 922 to implement reflectance compositing approaches within an operational processing framework.
