NOAA Internships

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) conducts research and gathers data about the global oceans, atmosphere, space and sun, and applies this knowledge to science and service that touch the lives of all Americans.

Associates have worked either at NOAA or for organizations that help to carry out NOAA's mission doing GIS and mapping, cartographic technology, marine sanctuaries, hydrographic surveying, remote sensing, coastal management, planning and policy, oceanography, web development, marine charting, navigation services, communications, research, capacity building and more.

ERT-NOAA Collaboration

ERT and NOAA collaborate in two program areas.

The Coastal Management Fellowship Program

This program is open to recently-graduated candidates with a master's degree from Sea Grant Institutions with a focus on coastal issues.

Coastal Management Fellows hold master's degrees in such areas as coastal and marine resource management, coastal geology, environmental management, and natural resources and the environment.

Please contact your local sea grant office prior to November 2008 for more details.

National Ocean Service Internships

For anyone who is interested in ocean sciences and is ready to start a career in a wide variety of fields, including geography, environmental education, oceanography, marine biology, meteorology, remote sensing, coastal operations, navigation services, and more.

NOS Program Associates are recent graduates with a bachelor's, master's, and doctorate who are interested in ocean sciences and are ready to start a career in a wide variety of fields, including geography, environmental education, oceanography, marine biology, meteorology, remote sensing, coastal operations, navigation services, and more.
