ERT, Inc. today announced it has been awarded a prime contract by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Langley Research Center (LaRC) to provide subject matter expertise to support complex proposal evaluations, management and technical assessments, and advanced studies. The Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, cost plus fixed fee contract has a potential value of $91M over five years. ERT will be supported by eight subcontractors: Futron Corporation, MCR Federal LLC, a.i. Solutions, Applied Defense Solutions, Inc., Galorath Incorporated, Integrity Applications Incorporated (IAI), PRICE Systems LLC, and Strategic Space Development, Inc.
The NASA Headquarters’ Science Mission Directorate (SMD) facilitates NASA’s pursuit of the most noteworthy approaches for missions, payloads, spacecraft, instruments, and research that help answer big questions in Earth and Space science. Located at LaRC, the Science Office for Mission Assessments (SOMA) helps SMD select and manage missions, spacecraft, and instruments. To accomplish this, SOMA manages and provides oversight of evaluations, assessments, and studies for SMD and other NASA organizations. These include evaluation of proposals received in response to NASA Announcements of Opportunity, NASA Research Announcements, Cooperative Agreement Notices, and Broad Agency Announcements, as well as highly specialized studies and assessments, such as life cycle and independent cost estimates, schedule assessments, and risk analyses. ERT will perform its Evaluations, Assessments, Studies, Services, and Support (EASSS) contract in Hampton, VA, with visits to NASA field locations as required.
“We look forward to providing responsive and high-quality support to NASA proposal evaluations, assessments, and studies for SOMA in support to NASA Headquarters’ Science Mission Directorate research as well as to continuing our legacy of partnership with NASA“, said Dr. Peter Li, ERT President.
