ERT is pleased to announce our award of the NOAA NMFS Electronic Monitoring, Data Storage, and Processing for the Office of Sustainable Fisheries contract. Electronic monitoring of fishery productivity is critical to the NMFS’s mission and a keystone to efficiently continuing the tracking of an expanding fishing fleet. The principal objective of the OSF electronic monitoring (EM) task is to track pelagic longline fishing to verify the accuracy of counts and identification of bluefin reported by vessel operators (via VMS reports and logbooks), with the long-term goal of improving bluefin catch estimation methods by incorporating data gathered through EM. Under this contract, ERT will ensure continued operational stability of existing EM data processing servers and EM Web capabilities and support the EM program by receiving, processing, and reissuing hard drives. This task order has a 1-year base period of performance and two 1-year options.
