ERT today announced its selection by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as a Professional and Technical Services Weather Domain contract (ProTech-Weather) awardee. The company is now eligible to compete for individual task orders under this multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, whose primary client will be the National Weather Service (NWS).
ProTech-Weather is the last of four domains to be competed and awarded under NOAA’s ProTech services solution; designed as a resource to support all of NOAA’s Line and Staff Offices, as well as other Bureaus within the Department of Commerce, where applicable. The Domain objective is to support NWS’ strategic plan—building a Weather-Ready Nation—by supporting, updating, and planning its meteorological, hydrological, and communications capabilities.
The period of performance includes a two-year base contract and three, one-year option periods. The contract began on January 15, 2019 and, if all options are exercised, could last through January 2025. Places of performance will be determined by individual task orders.
“ERT is pleased to announce our selection as both a prime contractor for ProTech-Weather in the Unrestricted category and a JV partner in the Small Business category,” noted Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Jingli Yang. “We have proudly served as a trusted partner to the NWS for 13 years and we are looking forward to continuing our support of its critical programs related to weather, hydrologic, and climate forecasting for the U.S. and its territories.”
